Reaching the world one person at a time.

One of our more "lively" ministries at Woodlawn Baptist Church is our Children's Ministry. This ministry provides children the opportunity to sing, dance, develop in many ways, but most importantly learn about our Savior, Jesus Christ.
On Wednesday evenings after supper in our fellowship hall, we offer several classes and activities that involve missions, singing, playing games, and learning. Our children's choir, under the direction of Joan Farrish, rehearses after supper each week and will perform from time to time during Prayer Meeting. They recently performed "Go, Go, Jonah" in the evening service on May 7th. During the summer months, Wednesday evening children's activities will not meet. They will resume in August.
On Sunday, we have Sunday School classes for all children from birth to 6th grade. During the Sunday morning worship service, we offer Children's Church for ages 5 to 3rd grade. There, they will have a unique lesson each Sunday and supplements such as videos, songs, and games. We are also very excited about the restarting of our AWANA program. Below, our 2014-15 AWANA leadership team is pictured. Our team consists of more than 30 adults that are sold out to Christ and totally committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with any child that shows up. Our AWANA program is available to all children ages 2 through the 6th grade.
No matter what your child is into, you can be assured that he or she will enjoy our children's programs at Woodlawn. More importantly, your child will be loved by a wonderful church family and taught the ways of the Christ-centered faith. Come join us!
